Community Action is a key component of ALACs work to reduce the harms caused by the way we drink in New Zealand. We are establishing a Community Action Fund to provide funding for innovative community projects designed to help change New Zealand’s drinking culture. The Community Action Coordinator will co-ordinate the fund and develop quality relationships with fund recipients and community stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will need:
• Contract funding experience working in the social/health/education sectors or similar
• Prior experience in engaging with government agencies, NGOs, Community, Iwi/Māori and Pacific peoples’ organisations
• Demonstrated experience in successfully managing collaborative planning/funding projects
• Demonstrated ability and experience in analysing data and writing strategically focused reports
• Proven experience in community development/action and preferably social marketing.
