The Our Stories book has a collection of personal stories about alcohol use and harm shared by people from diverse communities in the Auckland area.

Each personal story speaks of resilience, having the courage to change, and the specific impact alcohol has had on the individual, their whānau and community. HPA’s Community Insight Group developed Our Stories in 2014.

Our Stories can be used in many ways including:

  • to inform policy
  • as an educational tool
  • as an engagement tool for practitioners
  • as an inspiration for those struggling with problematic alcohol use
  • to help break down stereotypes about people from diverse communities.

Our Stories can be read or downloaded in a range of electronic formats.
